Photos Of The Stunning Miss World Kenya 2015, Charity Mwangi


Charity Mwangi, an Agricultural Resource Management student at Kenyatta University is the new Miss World Kenya.
The beauty from Kiambu County was crowned the winner of the coveted crown from a pool of 10 contestants who were all taking a second stab at the national title.
Charity will now represent Kenya at the 65th edition of the Miss World pageant which will be held on 19 December 2015 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China.
‘I’m excited to have won. I am aware these are big shoes to fill and I will do my best to live up to the standard and represent my country well,’ said Ms Mwangi on receiving the crown from the incumbent Idah Nguma.
The colorful event that was held at the Weston hotel in Nairobi saw performances from jazz singer, Joseph Hellon and reggae band, Morgan Heritage, who left the country on Sunday after a three-week visit.
Kajiado County’s Margaret Muchemi was named first runners up winning Sh 100,000, while Murang’a County’s Olive Waithera clinched the second runners up award pocketing a cash prize of Sh50,000.
Other winners of the night included Miss Narok, Nabaya Ntete who won the Beauty with a purpose crown and a cash prize of Sh50, 000 for cycling a long distance on a bicycle to get a medical assistance for a sick person in her community.
